An Awakening for every OFWs on FATHER's DAY!

So, you're an OFW, bravo to you, cause you are called to be today's Filipino hero for saving the country from debt with your remittances to family's left in Philippines.

How long are you working abroad? and how long are u gonna stay away from your wife, from your children? I wanna congratulate you and yes even salute you to have sacrificed them to assure a better future not only for them but also for your PARENTS, BROTHERS, SISTERS, COUSINS, FRIENDS, and who else? maybe all the people who might need of your generosity. 

It has been blamed on our Filipino culture why financial support for extended families has been expected for any OFW's since the day u stepped out from NAIA to fly your way out to work anywhere in the world. Then you yield to their expectations, notwithstanding the mere fact of being trapped into debts, credit cards you almost cannot handle to pay, a loan which will trapped you again for years.  And you realized, what am I doing? where all my hardworks went? I spent years working abroad and still I've nothing but bulks and tons of debts. I'm drowning and I loss my energy and passion to work. Now, you're making complaints to your company for not giving you additional increase, benefits, bonuses. (so sad, huh!) And worst you blame God? for giving you this kind of misery in life? (oh common, don't ever do it)

Hello, OFW there's no one to blame but YOU! Learn how to say NO! when to say NO and when to say ENOUGH! It's alright to say NO, sometimes! In the first place, you should have known your purpose of going abroad and to where you should be heading! Learn the many ways of handling your finances, learn and make it a point to invest, give yourself the time frame and try achieving a goal for sometime in your life. You can't blame anyone, nor your wife for not handling your finances well. It is your obligation to make sure where the money goes, its a hard-earned money that anyone should be handling wisely. Teach your relatives how to catch a fish, don't just give them fish. That's how real helping is, you help them not only for the short run but for lifetime to earn for a living on their own.

Now, stop complaining, stop blaming, be awake and learn to stand, learn to educate the people  you are around with. It all boils down to your words on how to make a change on their lives.
